Individual Therapy

You do not need to have everything figured out
before starting therapy.

Some people come to therapy in the middle of a crisis.

Others arrive simply feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they can no longer ignore.

You may have been coping “well enough” on the surface while internally carrying anxiety, self-doubt, stress, grief, burnout, loneliness, or a constant sense of pressure. You may find yourself overthinking conversations, struggling to slow your mind down, feeling emotionally flat, or wondering why life feels harder than it should.

Sometimes there is a clear reason for seeking support.
Sometimes there isn’t.

Both are valid.

A space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Individual therapy offers an opportunity to step out of the noise and demands of everyday life and spend time focusing on yourself — your experiences, emotions, relationships, patterns, values, and the direction your life is taking.

Therapy is not about judgement or being told how to live. It is a collaborative process that can help people better understand themselves, navigate challenges more effectively, and create meaningful and sustainable change.

There is no expectation to immediately open up about the most difficult parts of your life. We move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of where you are emotionally.

What we might explore together

People attend therapy for many different reasons, including:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Overthinking and emotional overwhelm

  • Self-esteem and self-criticism

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Grief and loss

You do not need to fit neatly into a category to benefit from therapy.

  • Burnout and exhaustion

  • Life transitions and uncertainty

  • Feeling disconnected, stuck, or directionless

  • Emotional patterns that keep repeating

  • Identity, meaning, and personal growth

My therapeutic style

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and integrative. I draw from mindfulness-based and evidence-informed psychotherapy approaches including person-centred therapy, ACT, compassion-focused therapy, and broader relational frameworks.

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model of therapy. Different people connect with different ways of understanding themselves and creating change, so I aim to adapt the process to what resonates most with you.

If I do hold a bias, it is probably this:

I am fundamentally hopeful about people. Even amidst the challenges and complexity of life, I believe we are capable of growth, healing, deeper connection, and meaningful change.

Beginning therapy

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or even intimidating, particularly if you are used to managing things on your own.

You do not need to arrive with the “right” words, a perfectly clear explanation, or certainty about what you need. Often, the first step is simply creating space to begin the conversation.

You are welcome to reach out if you would like to discuss working together or ask any questions before booking an appointment.
